About

One owner, one standard, one number to call.

Fikes Property Maintenance is owner-operated out of St. Robert. When you call, you get Eric. When the work gets done, Eric’s the one doing it.

I’m Eric Fikes, Retired U.S. Army. Between that career and the emergency-management work I still do, I learned one thing over and over: a good plan matters less than whether people show up and do what they said they would.

That’s the whole reason this business exists. Nobody around here is short on mowers. What people are short on is somebody who answers the phone, puts a real price in writing, shows up on the day he said, and leaves the property looking finished, not just mowed.

It started as lawn care and grew the way property work does. Once you’re at a house every week, you see the gutter that’s pulling loose, the fence gate that won’t latch and the driveway that hasn’t been washed since it was poured. So now I handle those too. That way the owner deals with one person for the whole exterior, and I can fix what I find instead of just mentioning it.

My sons pitch in on the bigger jobs. Everything else is me: the quote, the work and the photos at the end. If something needs a licensed electrician, plumber or roofer, I’ll tell you so and point you to someone good, rather than guess at it.

How it started

A family business, on purpose.

We started this company as a way to learn business together and spend more time outdoors as a family. It turned into something a lot bigger than that, fast.

That family foundation still runs everything: how we work, how we talk to you and how we treat the property you trust us with. Every edge clean, every cut precise, every cleanup finished. We treat your place the way we treat our own.

From weekly mowing and seasonal cleanups to commercial painting and pressure washing, the goal hasn’t changed. Do it right the first time, and earn the next season.

One property, one family, one season at a time.

Rules of the arena

A few rules I don’t bend.

Price in writing first

No work starts on a handshake estimate. You see the scope and the number before I unload anything.

Show up on the day

If weather or a breakdown moves a job, you hear it from me before the day, not after.

Leave it cleaner

Hard surfaces blown off, debris hauled away and gates latched behind me.

Tell you straight

If a job isn’t mine to do, or isn’t worth doing, you’ll hear that too.

What’s on the trailer

Commercial gear, kept ready.

The truck gets loaded the night before, so the first job of the day starts on time.
